11/2/10 13:11 - she got houseplants to keep her company. bought her a goldfish, she named it after me.

first one of 2010. a lot of this stuff was dug out of the recesses of my phone since i decided to clean out all the files that have accumulated on the memory card over the last 18 months. it’s a little bit all over the place, probably the least cohesive and unthemed mixes i’ve ever put together, but these tracks have come with me wherever i’ve gone, so there’s a lot of sentimental value here.

anthemic indie rock, electro cuties, cinematic balladeering, progressive guitar riffs, moderately uptempo stuff. included is this pretty incredible song by a band from australia called ‘the temper trap’. you’ve heard it before if you watched 500 days of summer. also features a band from just outside of my hometown, hollerado.

name of the tape is inspired by my favourite shutdown line in my girl-chasing career.
